Usage Note 43708: Migrated projects fail to respond or do not run
When you migrate a SAS® Enterprise Miner™ project, follow specific instructions with either of these migrations:
- from a 32-bit operating system to a 64-bit operating system
- from one operating system platform to a different one (examples: Windows to UNIX,
Windows to Linux)
The specific migration instructions are given in the document "SAS® Enterprise Miner™ 7.1: Administration and Configuration, Second Edition". The document is available on the SAS Enterprise Miner
Product Documentation web page.
If you do not follow those instructions, then a converted project might not run, even if it opens successfully in SAS Enterprise Miner 7.1. No error appears. However, no green status surrounds a node in the diagram window.
The Enterprise Miner Migrate Project tool contains the EM_MigrateProject macro that is referenced in the instructions.
A fix is planned for a future release. After you install the fix, a message is displayed if you run a diagram flow before using the migration tool. The message tells you to run the migration tool first. After you run the migration tool, open the project again, and diagrams should run.
